“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” – Lao Tzu

NO ELA OR SPELLING TESTS THIS WEEK. THEY ARE MOVED TO NEXT WEDNESDAY.

I hope everyone had a glorious Christmas and a wonderful New Year celebration! We had a fantastic class party to celebrate Christmas. Thank you to everyone who sent in goodies. The children really enjoyed themselves.

As I am sure you aware, COVID is very much still with us. While we are fortunate to have a very small class, we still will be taking extra precautions.

Math

We are continuing our work with division. We are also working with xtramath and fluency sheets to make sure that our math facts are memorized. Taking the time to memorize multiplication facts in 3rd grade is so important to your child’s success in Math in future grades. Please review them nightly.

ELA

We are having all ELA and spelling tests on Friday.

Anchor Text: Tops and Bottoms. The genre is Trickster Tale.
