Week 20
“The secret of getting ahead, is getting started.” – Mark Twain
We are spending time this week discussing Growth Mindsets. We are beginning to understand that each person is capable of learning anything! Struggle and failure might be necessary, but with effort and perseverance, everyone can succeed.
Scholastic book order forms went home last week. Please make sure they are returned by Tuesday, January 30th. You can always order books online by going to Scholastic.com/readingclub and using our classrooom code GZBYH.
Math
We are working on solving division problems in Chapter 7. We are having a quiz on Friday. We have Rocket Math homework most days in addition to our regular Practice Book homework. Please review Rocket Math papers every day. Taking the time to memorize multiplication facts in 3rd grade is so important to your child’s success in Math in future grades. Please review them nightly.
ELA
We are NOT having ANY ELA tests on Friday. While we are continuing to learn new material, I am not testing it this week. We are also beginning a new read aloud this week.
