This week is Trinity Lutheran’s Spirit Week. The schedule for dressing is as follows:
Monday – Pajama Day

Friday: 90’s Day
On Sunday, January 28th, we conclude our Spirit Week with the class singing during the 9:00 church service. As previously mentioned, the children should be dressed in their school uniforms. Mr. DeVries and I will meet the children in the music room at 8:45. After the service, please pick up your child from the music room. I’m looking forward to hearing the children sing in front of the congregation.
For Art, children need a picturebook for this Tuesday because they are creating masks. Mrs. Kerwin went over this with the class. Please confirm with your child that s/he has the book.
Academics
Math: We are in Module 8 and finishing our work on multiplication and division.. Our Module Test will be Friday.

Social Studies: This past week we read books about famous African Americans. We took notes and this week we will finish presenting our information on a graphic organizer which we will display in the hallway. I hope you can see them all when you come to chapel on Sunday, January 28th. We are also beginning our focus on government, landmarks, and symbols. We will be learning about the three branches of government. Our vocabulary words are federal, legislative, judicial, executive, and Congress
Science:Students are continuing to analyze data from dinosaur fossils in order to provide evidence about the appearance and behavior of those dinosaurs when they were living.
Religion: We are learning about the First Table of the Law: Commandments 1-3.
