Important Information
On Monday, January 20, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This past week we spent a lot of time learning about the life of Dr. King and some of the things he accomplished with regards to civil rights..
We will be taking the Terra Nova tests this week. Students need to make sure that they get a good night’s sleep. Also, please make sure that your child has had breakfast and should come to school with pencils in order to complete the tests.
In class, we will be working on a famous African American report. Children will be selecting the person they want to learn more about. We will be reading books on our famous person using GetEpic.com and then completing the report in class.
On Sunday, January 26th, the class will be singing during the 9:00 church service. Please mark your calendar. The children should be dressed in their school uniforms. Mr. DeVries and I will meet the children in the music room at 8:45. After the service, please pick up your child from the music room. I’m looking forward to hearing the children sing in front of the congregation.
