Math
We have finished our unit on multiplication and division. We are now beginning chapter 8 which covers fractions. We will be focusing on fractions being parts of a whole and unit fractions. In third grade, students are introduced to the terms numerator and denominator. Students will have their first quiz on Monday, Feb. 11th. We will continue with fluency sheets.
ELA
We are all our ELA tests on Friday. These include comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and spelling.

Social Studies
On Thursday, we are having a test on Canada’s Government (Pages 68 – 71 in our text book). We have created indexes cards to study vocabulary (federal, parliament, and prime minister). We will be creating foldables to study the steps towards independence and the different branches of government. We are having a take home review quiz on Tuesday that I will grade and return on Wednesday. The test is on Thursday.
Religion
The religion test will be on the Wednesday this week. I have included the link here for Third Grade Memory Work and due dates. Our Thursday test is on The 6th Commandment.
