Week 32
Our field trip to Safety Town is on Tuesday, May 1st. Please remember to send in lunch for your child, as we will be eating in the classroom. I will be sending home a reminder notice.
Mr. DeVries has been practicing lines with the students for our Spring musical. Please continue to practice the lines with your child at home.
We are having a Sing Along on Friday May 4th. This is similar to last year’s event. We are raising money for Long Island Cares. This event takes place during the school day, and I encourage all the students to attend. The cost is $3.00.
Permission slips went home last week for our field trip to Old Westbury Gardens. Please return them as soon as possible. No money is being collected for this trip.
As previously mentioned, the students now have access to Journeys, Go Math and Science. If you need help logging in from home, please contact me and I will send you the specific information.
Students who take instrument lessons need to remember to bring their instruments to school for both lessons and orchestra (2 times a week).
Math
We are having a quiz on analog clocks on Monday. There will also be one question on elapsed time. We are then moving on to other measurements including length, volume, and mass. We are having our chapter test on Tuesday, May 8th.
