Important Information

Permission slips and money for the field trip to The Waterfront Center are due on Friday, May 3rd. I am looking forward to a fun filled trip.

Please make sure Chromebooks are charged every night.

Please make sure that your child brings a water bottle to school everyday.

Academics

Math: We are having our Module 14 test on Tuesday, and then we will continue our exploration of fractions. We will focua on comparing fractions with the same numerator and also comparing fractions with the same denominator..

ELA: We are finishing up our opinion pieces on driverless cars.

Social Studies: We are focusing on citizenship and civic engagement. We will forcus on taking action for our rights. Some of the role model we will discuss are Susan B. Anthony, Thurgood Marshall, and Eleanor Roosevelt.

Science: In this lesson, students will discover why dogs’ expressions, like tail wagging, are so useful when living in a pack. In the activity, Field Journal, students will watch videos of different animals that live in groups to simulate observing them in their natural habitats. They will then discuss and record their observations, and construct an explanation of how living in groups helps these animals survive.

Religion: This week we are focusing on God’s gracious gifts and what God’s angels do.
