This week we begin week 2 in our Moving On unit with the topic “Trying New Things”. Our Vocabulary words will be challenge, encourage, and try. We will read Giraffe’s Can’t Dance, Little Bat, and Chicka Chicka, Boom, Boom.
In math this week we will review #11 and patterns.
Our sight words for this week will be “me” and “go”. Please use this opportunity to review letter names and sounds with your children as some of them are having trouble with the sight words since they still cannot recognize all of their letters. Homework worksheets are provided for review.
For Jesus time we will learn about Noah’s Ark this week. We will learn a fun new song about Noah’s Ark and read a Jan Brett book about Noah’s Ark. We will also continue to sing “All God’s Critters”, as it is their favorite! We are also practicing our closing program songs and the Lord’s Prayer.
I am so excited that we will be talking about dinosaurs this week! I will be bringing in some of my fossils from home and we will make our own fossils with play dough.
