Our “Star of the Week” is Christian! We can’t wait to find out all about him!

I am asking all parents to email me when you first view my weekly blog on Trinity’s website so that I know you can access it and are reading it each week. I will update it every Monday.
Encourage your child to READ every night to strengthen their skills.

REMINDERS:
1. Please be sure that your child has plenty of pencils in school, for many children seem to use them (or lose them) quickly. It would be helpful if you could put his/her name or initials on each pencil.

READING: We will read the story The Storm this week. The children will bring home their Reading books later in the week to read the story again at home. The children should be able to read this story to you. There will be a Reading test on Friday.
LANGUAGE ARTS: Possessives, Proofreading, captions
PHONICS: Phonics- We will focus on the sounds of r, h, z, and short I
MATH: There will be a test Tuesday on Chapter 1. The children took a practice test on Monday and you can use that to review with your child. We will then begin chapter 2 on subtraction.
RELIGION:Read and discuss the story of “God Gives Abraham and Sarah a Son”
SCIENCE: Nonliving things
SOCIAL STUDIES: Families
SPELLING: The words for this week are: if, is, him, rip, fit, pin. The children will write their spelling words 3x each for homework by Wednesday. There will be a Spelling test on Friday.
