The Trinity Times
News from 1A – MRS. Vetter’s class

I am so excited to be teaching first grade this year and we have certainly been off to a great start!

First, we would like to welcome Alex, Christian, and Travis to our school and our class. They have made so many wonderful friends already.

First grade has been working very hard. We have been doing a ton of reading and just finished a math chapter on addition. We’ve also learned about being a good pal, storms, what scientists do, being a good citizen, our families, and nonliving things. Whew! We will have a super smart bunch of first graders by June!

In addition to learning, we’ve had some fun, too. We’ve celebrated birthdays for Vivich, Sarah, and Christian. Christian was also our first Star of the Week! Laila will be our star this week and she is so excited. We enjoyed making portraits of ourselves for back to school night and many of us have gone to the treasure chest for good behavior.

We have accomplished so much already and we have so many other great things to look forward to. What a fantastic year it’s going to be!

Hello Parents, Families and Friends,
This year’s Trinity Lutheran Harvest Festival will once again have a Pie Baking Contest. To make this year exciting, the contest will include all dessert flavors, not only Apple.
The pies must be homemade, including the crusts. Pies may have crusts on top, crumb, lattice, beehive, meringue, whipped cream or any other choice of the baker.
All pies should be submitted on Saturday, October 18th by 11am for collection at the Pie Contest Table. There will be judges on hand to sample each pie and awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.
Please email Mrs. Renee Requena at <[email protected]> to submit your pie and for any additional questions.
FALL FUNDRAISER
Trinity’s fall fundraiser is now underway through October 10th featuring Yankee candles, accessories and gifts.  Brochures have been sent home and if you’d like additional ones to share, please request it from your child’s teacher.  Items will be delivered before the holidays in time for gift giving.
