This season (2014-2015), the girls welcomed their new coach, Ms. Theresa LaBella. Theresa was the varsity girls basketball coach at Holy Trinity for 20 years. The team this year was a young team. They were able to grow and learn this year for next year. One of the girl’s best games was against Harbor Country Day. Aaliyah, our post player had 11 rebounds. Francesca, one of our guards lead the team in scoring with 14 points. Congratulations on an exciting season!!!! We will miss the two eighth graders graduating this year!
Last year Trinity’s Girls 7/8 grade team was the runner-up of the 2014 L.I.A.A.I.S (Long Island Athletic Association of Independent Schools) Girls Basketball Tournament. This year the team combines the 6th, 7th and 8th graders. The 2014-2015 season will be the team’s rebuilding year with the team consisting mainly of 6th and 7th graders.
