We will be celebrating Hendrick’s birthday today. Happy birthday, Hendrick!

Please remember to send peanut butter and jelly to school for the Annual Food Drive. The donation deadline is this Friday, 11/21.  Also, please consider sending items for the snack bags for the Mary Brennan INN soup kitchen. The bags will be put together after our Thanksgiving Feast next Tuesday. Finally, please consider assisting in other ways at the Thanksgiving Feast. Thank you.

We will be taking a field trip to the Hicksville Fire Department this Friday.

There will be a spelling test on Thursday.

This week, we will be

• Learning about thankfulness, Nehemiah, and God’s promise of a Savior in Religion
• Moving into Unit 2, Week 3, of our Wonders curriculum, which highlights animals in stories, words in context, antonyms, soft c and g, predicting, sequencing, words with ge, prefixes, blending, kinds of nouns, and capital letters in ELA
• Continuing with Module 7 about coins in Math
• Exploring the government, the pilgrims, and the contributions of fire fighters in Social Studies
• Finishing our look at farm animals and considering the inventions of Native Americans in Science

Read-alouds will include

• Inside a Barn in the Country
• The Poky Little Puppy
• The Story of the Pilgrims
• Sarah Morton’s Day
• The Legend of the Bluebonnet

Specials will include Library, Art, SEL, PE, Spanish, and Music. We will be attending Chapel on Wednesday. Your child will be provided with an offering envelope on Monday to take home.
