Early Childhood Center
Trinity Lutheran Early Childhood Center is a vital part of Trinity Lutheran School and serves as a ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church to member and non-member families. We assist parents in nurturing and enriching the lives of their young children through a stimulating early childhood program, set within a caring, Christian environment.
Elementary
The Next Generation Learning Standards serve as a consistent set of expectations for what students should learn and be able to do, so that we can ensure every student is on track for college and career readiness. Trinity Lutheran School incorporates and exceeds the Next Generation Standards in our curriculum, but we do not administer the New York State Next Generation tests. Each grade’s curriculum includes nationally recognized benchmarks throughout the school year to evaluate and ensure our student’s progress.
Middle School
Trinity’s Middle School curriculum is designed to help students mature academically, emotionally, and spiritually so that they are prepared for the challenges of high school and beyond. Students receive instruction in six core subjects: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, and Religion. These topics are enhanced by a variety of ‘Specials’ which are taught once a week by a specialized teacher.
High School
Trinity Lutheran MICRO-High is designed for students looking for a small setting where they can pursue their High School in our small controlled environment. The MICRO-High will utilize a largely digital curriculum with select in-person experiences, allowing students to pursue their various interests and have access to a very large comprehensive catalog of courses, while still maintaining a very intimate school setting.
K-8
Step 1: Application
Complete the Application for Admission and Transcript Request forms. Please return these forms to Trinity, along with the $50.00 non-refundable application fee. Make checks payable to: Trinity Lutheran School.
Step 2: Entrance Exam
Each student applying for admission to Trinity Lutheran must take an entrance examination. The results will be sent to you by mail within two weeks of the exam date. We must have your child’s application and fee payment prior to testing.
Step 3: Interview
Students will be scheduled for a family interview with the principal, and possibly a school visitation after they have met the entrance examination requirements, and their transcripts and records have been sent to Trinity Lutheran School and reviewed.
Step 4: Acceptance
When determining a student’s acceptance to Trinity Lutheran School, careful consideration is given to entrance exam scores and previous school performance, as well as interviews and visitations. Preference is given to re-enrolling students, siblings of current students, and Trinity Lutheran and associated parish members. Parents/guardians will be notified by mail of their child’s acceptance.
Step 5: Enrollment
Once a student has been accepted into Trinity, a non-refundable registration fee of $400.00 is due to hold the student’s seat. Enrollment is complete with the payment of the registration fee and the successful completion of the current grade level.
Step 6: Transportation
Contact your local school district’s transportation office and request bus transportation for your child to Trinity Lutheran. If you live 15 miles or less from Trinity, your district must transport your child, if your request is on time. Most districts have an April 1st deadline for transportation requests for parochial and non-public school students. Please don’t wait; do it today!
