Hi everyone! It was great seeing the ones that came to WINGO. It was a fun time. Please continue to check their green folders for any important information or notices.
The field trip permission slip went out and must be signed with the money by Wednesday if they want to go. The trip will be to the LICM on Friday!
Spelling – 3x or ABC order is due on Wednesday. Our spelling test is on Friday. Our new words for this week are: spoil, coin, join, joy, toy, boy, town, mouse
Math – We have begun module 15 on 2D shapes. This module is 5 lessons which puts our next math test on May 8th.
ELA – Our reading test is on Thursday. Our story of the week is “Building Bridges”. We will learn the /oi/ and /oy/ sound. We will also learn about final stable syllables like ble, tle, ple, dle and more. Our HF words are: above, build, fall, money, toward, knew. Our vocabulary words are: balance – stay in place without falling and section – small part of something bigger.
Writing – We will write about what we did over the weekend, how teachers are helpful, and what they would do if they got to be the principal. We brainstormed our personal narratives and drafted each page. We are going to learn about revising and editing.
Science – In our grass journals we wrote our predictions and have been keeping track each day for growth. Every two weeks we will be observing and writing about how the process is going.
Religion – We will learn about the story “Jesus Feeds Four Thousand People”.
