Spelling – 3x each or ABC order is due on Wednesday. Our spelling test is on Friday. Our new spelling words this week are: born, corn, core, more, roar, soar, her, dirt, learn, sure.
Math – We are finishing up module 13 on Monday, our review will be on Tuesday and then our test for module 13 will be on Wednesday, April 22nd.
ELA – Our reading test is on Thursday. Our story this week is “Thomas Edison, Inventor”. This week we will be learning about /or/, /ore/, and /oar/. We will be learning about abbreviations and reviewing contractions. Our HF words this week are: began, better, guess, learn, right, sure. Our vocabulary words this week are idea – picture or thought in your head and unusual – not common.
Writing – In our journals we will be answering “What they would find in a magic Easter basket?” and “What is one thing they wish they could do better?” We are also going to start our writing unit for our writing celebration. Students are going to work for the next few weeks creating personal narrative stories they will get to share with you.
Science – We are beginning to learn about grass in preparation for our grass growing project. We are also going to learn all about the Earth for Earth day on Wednesday.
Religion – We will learn about the story “Jesus and the Samaritan Woman”.
