ARTrageous Adventures…in the Art Room ~ Week of 4/20/26

This Week in Art

PreK ~ Last week we made Cherry Blossom trees out of pink tissue crumbles.  This week we will tackle the daffodil flower.

Kindergarten ~ the class will be polishing up their watercolor skills as they paint their tulip drawings

Gr. 1 ~ 4 are all working on their Hicksville Water District Poster Contest entries.  The theme of the contest is how we can all save water.

Gr. 5 ~ this is our last day to finish up our creative creature projects

Gr. 6 ~ the class is working on their three-dimensional pyramid pet paper sculpture project.  These will be displayed at our Fine Arts Festival.

Gr. 7 ~ the students are working on a split-face self portrait.  One half is an abstract side filled with drawings of images on how the student sees themself.

The other side is the realistic drawing  of what they see when they look in the mirror.

Gr. 8 ~ the class is working on a project called Fingerprint Frenzy.  Using tempera paint the students strategically make fingerprints on their papers.  Then they add details to the fingerprints to create a scene.  Examples are:  a dance or cheer competition, a football game, a wedding etc..

Art Elective ~ the students are working on their 3D amusement parks using paper towel rolls and assorted assemblage.

Keep Creating!
