Hi everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Thank you all for helping the kids with their turkey project. They were so excited to share theirs and they came out amazing. It was so nice sitting with you all and getting to talk about how well your child is doing on Friday during parent teacher conferences. This week is a normal week for our curriculum. Please continue to check their green folders for any important information or notices.
We are going to be doing a painting plate Thanksgiving craft. The treats and crafts like this is what our class money is going towards for the students to have a nice holiday party day. They will paint them this week and get to bring them home on Tuesday!
Spelling – 3x each is due on Wednesday and our spelling test will be on Friday. This weeks spelling words are: fish, ship, sang, thing, shop, with, fast, wink, call, want
Math – We will be continuing module 4 and our test for module 4 will be on Friday November 21st.
ELA – Our reading test will be on Thursday. This week we will be learning about digraphs. Two letters coming together to make one sound. This week we will focus on th, sh, and ng. This weeks story is called “Nell’s Books”. We will also be learning about breaking apart words by syllables and common and proper nouns. Our HF words this week are: all, call, day, her, want
Writing – We will be working on comprehension questions and writing those in our journals.
Social Studies – We just finished learning about voting, how we can vote and more vocabulary. This week we will learn about the history of Thanksgiving.
Please make sure to send in their field trip permission slip by Wednesday!
