We will be celebrating Julian’s birthday, 11/14, on Thursday, 11/13. We will be celebrating Hendrick’s birthday, 11/16, next week on Monday, 11/17.

Please remember to send peanut butter and jelly to school for the Annual Food Drive. The donation deadline is Friday, 11/21.  Thank you.

There will be no new spelling words or homework this week.

There will be a Module 6 Math Test on Wednesday. There will be an ELA Progress Monitoring Assessment on Thursday. Preparation for the test and assessment will be done in class.

This week, we will be

• Learning about Esther and Jonah in Religion
• Completing our work in ELA on animals, including reading about butterflies and using short and long u sounds, syllables, silent letters, singular and plural nouns, and homographs
• Completing Module 6 about using place value and beginning Module 7 about coins in Math
• Exploring the significance of Veterans Day in Social Studies
• Taking a closer look at farm animals in Science

Read-alouds will include

• Veterans: Heroes in Our Neighborhood
• Wishy-washy
• Farm Animals
• The Three Little Pigs
• I’m Going to Be a Farmer

Specials will include Library, Critters, PE, Spanish, and Music. We will be attending Chapel on Wednesday. Your child will be provided with an offering envelope on Monday to take home.
