5th Grade Social Studies – This is the final week of our “Stranded” project. Students are putting the finishing touches on their island governments and preparing for their presentations. The completed project is due Friday, and presentations will take place on Monday, May 18.

5th Grade Science – We will begin the week learning about earthquakes, with a quiz scheduled for Wednesday. Afterward, we will move into our next chapter on volcanoes.

5th Grade Religion – We will continue watching Miracles from Heaven and discussing the themes and lessons connected to our Religion curriculum. Students will have a test at the end of the week that ties together concepts from both the movie and our class discussions.

6th Grade Math – We are continuing our work with finding area and will begin working with irregular shapes. As we wrap up our final chapter, there will be a few take-home quizzes throughout the week.

6th Grade Earth Science – We will complete our final chapter this week. Students will have a vocabulary quiz on Section 2.2 on Tuesday and Section 2.3 on Thursday. The Chapter 2 Test will take place on Monday, May 18.
