Hello Fabulous Fourth Grade Families!
We have an exciting week ahead! Our school wide March Reading Madness Challenge. When a student finishes a book they will complete a Book Review, in addition to a ticket in the book shield class jar, students will get their book and name on the class bookshelf. The class with the most books read will receive a prize!
Also, I am excited to say that our snowed out field trip to Raynham Hall has been rescheduled to Tuesday 3/24!
Below you will find what we will be doing for each subject this week:
ELA: This week we will finish our next class read-aloud, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume. We will be focusing on the sequence of events in our text. There will be a comprehension test on 3/10. We will also be working in school to complete a Book Report Choice Board based on Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. This will be completed during class, counted as a test grade, and is due on Friday 3/13. In grammar we will continue our study of verbs. In writing we will be working on our second argument essays. We will be arguing if students should have more or less recess? A 5 paragraph essay draft is due by 3/10.
Math: This We will also continue Module 13: Using Fractions to Understand Angles. Be sure to check google classroom for helpful handouts and videos that review the vocabulary for the module. This module is heavy on vocabulary.
Religion: In religion we will be continuing our study of the book of Exodus.
