ARTrageous Adventures…in the Art Room ~ Week of 3/9/26

This Week in Art

Trimester #2 Ends this Thursday, 3/12

PreK Classes ~ We are making a Shamrock Pal for St. Patrick’s day out of painted paper plates and foam pieces.

Kindergarten ~ This class has been working very carefully to paint their Easter crosses with watercolors.

Gr. 1 ~ First grade is working collaboratively with music class to create an original drawing based on listening to a musical composition by Handel.

Gr. 2 ~ The class took a tour of our church’s many crosses!!!!  I believe one of our Second graders said there were “infinity” crosses in our church!  They will make an original cross drawing based on their inspiration from the tour.

Gr. 3 ~ The Third Grade class is still working very carefully to design a special stained glass window.

Gr. 4 ~ We are starting a new lesson on graphic stencil design.

Gr. 5 ~ Fifth Grade is working with chalk pastels to create a Value of Gray drawing.

Gr. 6 ~ Sixth graders are working on designing their very own Graffiti Tag after a lesson on the history of graffiti.

Gr. 7 ~ We are still weaving our mug rugs.

Gr. 8 ~ This class is designing a picture using gold scratchboard.

Art Elective ~ We will be finishing up our abstract watercolor posters for our very last Trim. #2 class.

Keep Creating!
