Hello Fabulous Fourth Grade Families!

Below you will find what we will be doing for each subject this week: 

ELA: This week we are continuing to read The Spiderwick Chronicles Book 2: The Seeing Stone by Tony DiTerlizo and Holly Black. In grammar we will continue our study of verbs. We will also be reading the play, Undercover Patriot. We will be focusing on  characterization. In the text we learn about the members of George Washington’s Culper Spy ring and how they helped the Americans win the American Revolution. There will be a comprehension test on Friday 2/13.

Math: This week in Math we begin Module 12: Converting Fractions to Decimals.There will be a quiz for Module 12 on 2/13. We will learn the remainder of the module after February break. 

Religion: In religion we will be starting our study of the book of Exodus. 

Social Studies: In S.S. we will finish Chapter 4, New York in the Revolution. We will start learning about the how the American Revolution ended 

Science: This week we will be continuing our unit of science, animal and plant adaptations.
