Hello Fabulous Fourth Grade Families!
I hope you enjoyed your break! We have an exciting week ahead! As a reminder we will be visiting Raynham Hall located in Oyster Bay on Tuesday 2/24 to help us wrap up our unit on the American Revolution.
Below you will find what we will be doing for each subject this week:
ELA: This week we will start our next class read-aloud, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume. We will be focusing on the sequence of events in our text. There will be a spelling and comprehension test on 3/6. In grammar we will continue our study of verbs. In writing we will be working on our second argument essays. We will be arguing if students should have more or less recess?
Math: This week in Math we finish Module 12: Converting Fractions to Decimals.There will be a quiz for all of Module 12 on 2/26 and a test on 2/27.
Religion: In religion we will be continuing our study of the book of Exodus.
Social Studies: In S.S. we will finish Chapter 4, New York in the Revolution. We will continue to learn about how the American Revolution ended. There will be a Chapter 4 test on Friday 2/27.
Science: This week we begin our next science unit, The Human Machine. We will begin to learn about the different organs and systems in the human body, and start our life size human bodies.
