This Week…
ECC ~ this week we learn about the artist G. Seurat and his famous “dot” paintings. Then we make a beautiful dot painting combining primary colors to create secondary colors.
Kindergarten ~ It’s time to finish decorating our Kenyan African Tribal necklaces with shells beads and even gems. Then we get to wear them around our necks and celebrate!
Gr. 1 ~ we will finish painting our “areas of white” watercolor masterpieces fashioned after the artwork of American artist W. Homer.
Gr. 2 ~ It’s time to dazzle you with our “lines and swirls” drawings inspired by vanGogh’s Starry Starry Night and other Impressionistic style paintings.
Gr. 3 ~ the class will take a tour of Trinity’s beautiful stained glass windows and create a window of their own.
Gr. 4 ~ this class is finishing up their Infinity of Dots drawings inspired by the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.
Gr. 5 ~ the students are drawings a picture using chalk pastels that will show the values of gray.
Gr. 6 ~ we will finish up decorating our African tribal masks
Gr. 7 ~ this class is weaving a mug rug using a cardboard loom
Gr. 8 ~ we are finishing up our Japanese Notan designs using construction paper
Art Elective ~ we are using watercolor paints to make an original abstract painting based off the style of artist Sally Trace.
