Dear Parents,
We had a such a great week together learning all about the letter “Y” and the color yellow. We started our unit on farm animals and put our very own pig pen out on display in our hallway. We also enjoyed singing songs about the farm like “old McDonald” and “5 little Ducks”. We even had a “find something scavenger hunt in the classroom!
In art, we started creating our color mixing book by learning that yellow and bluet make green. We also continued to learn about creation and worked more on our booklet.
This week we will learn a new letter, B for Bat. The children will learn how to recognize, sound out, and trace the letter. We will also be learning about the color Brown. Please wear brown on Wednesday. We will wrap up the week with our scholastic sheet on Pumpkins and also discuss the importance of Christopher Columbus and make a fun hat to wear for Columbus Day.
