Reminder – picture day is Tuesday

5th Grade Social Studies – Continue the lesson on the explorers of Spain and complete the study of the Columbian Exchange.  The Chapter 2 test will be on Tuesday, October 14.  A study guide will be provided on Thursday, October 9.  Will also introduce the Explorers project this week, which will be completed over the next two weeks.  

5th Grade Science – Complete how matter cycles through an ecosystem and what can disturb an ecosystem.  Unit test for lessons 5-13 will be on Friday, October 10.  A study guide will be provided on Tuesday, October 7.   

5th Grade Religion – Lesson 9 – Joseph Forgives and God Provides. Complete the Unit on Genesis.  Unit test will be on Friday, October 10.  A study guide will be provided on Tuesday, October 7.  

6th Grade Math – Continue work on the Greatest Common Factor.  Start the lessons on Least Common Multiple.  There will be a quiz on Thursday on GCF and LCM.

6th Grade Earth Science – Continue the unit on Minerals.  The focus this week is identifying minerals using color, luster, streak, fracture hardness and density.  We will also be working in the lab for a few days on a mineral identification project.
