ECC2-Nursery-Week of January 26, 2026

Dear Parents,

Good evening everyone.  We hope you are all staying safe and warm, and enjoying the beautiful snow falling.  We also hope you enjoy your “snow” day.
This past week, the children learned about the letter N for Narwhal and made a cute craft. We are working so nicely on our arctic animal unit and added a polar bear and walrus to our portfolios.  The kids especially enjoyed working on the Scholastic weekly reader, “Polar Bears!”  We learned a lot about polar bears and their habitat.

This upcoming week, we will be learning about the letter “I” for igloo. The children will learn how to recognize, sound out, and write the letter I.  For our science unit, the children will learn about the process of hibernation. We will talk about the different types of animals that hibernate.  We will also explore how animals adapt to seasonal changes, such as hibernation.  We will also discuss with the children why groundhogs hibernate and what happens on Groundhogs Day, which is the following Monday.

For religious instruction, the children will learn how Jesus calls the disciples.
