Dear Parents,
Good evening everyone. We hope all enjoyed the winter break and hope you all have a very fun filled and safe extra snow day tomorrow. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the dentist visit but will be rescheduling soon.
This week, we will be learning about the letter J for Jemison. Mae Jemison, was the first African American woman to travel to space and we have made a really cute project honoring her accomplishment. The children will learn how to recognize, sound out and write the letter J.
We will also be concluding our Arctic Animal unit this week and the children will be taking home their artwork in the Arctic Animal Portfolios they’ve been working on.
For religious instruction, the children will learn how Jesus teaches about birds and flowers. We will also discuss the importance and meaning of Ash Wednesday and Lent.
