Dear Parents,

The children had a great week riding the tricycles and spending time, playing and learning with their friends.  We also learned a lot about polar animals and other animals that hibernate, such as groundhogs. We learned all about groundhogs and shadows also!

This week the children will be learning about the letter V for Valentine. They will learn how to recognize, sound out, and write the letter V.  We will also explore “My Big World” in our Scholastic weekly reader.  This week’s theme is “How to be a good friend.”   We are so excited for our Valentine’s Day party this Friday! ❤️
We will be also be discussing why President’s week is so important and make a craft.

For religious instruction, the children will learn how Jesus heals a paralyzed man.

IMPORTANT DATES AND REMINDERS:

• February 13th – PLEASE WEAR RED for ECC’s Valentine’s Day Party in class.
• February 16th through 20th – NO SCHOOL for Winter Recess
• February 23rd – Dentist is coming to visit ECC in our classrooms.
• Please remember to label your child’s clothing.
• Please remember to empty your child’s folder daily. They are so excited for you to see their crafts that they work so hard on.
