Dear Parents,

Good evening everyone.  We had a great week together and it was lots of fun coming in on Monday and watching the groundhog see his shadow which means 6 more weeks of winter!  🥶 We also finished up our polar/arctic animal unit by doing a fun “blubber” experiment.

This week the children will be learning about the letter V for Valentine. They will learn how to recognize, sound out, and write the letter V.  We will also be doing this week’s scholastic reader on “How to be a good friend.”   We will be having our Valentine’s Day celebration on Friday the 13th.  Please wear red!  We will be sending out a list of party requests on class dojo within the next couple days.  We have 16 children in our class if you will sending in Valentine’s for the class.  Please no candy due to allergies.

For religious instruction, the children will learn how Jesus heals a paralyzed man.

IMPORTANT DATES AND REMINDERS:

• February 13th – PLEASE WEAR RED for ECC’s Valentine’s Day Party in class.
• If you are sending in Valentine’s for the children to give to their friends, please make sure they do not contain any candy due to allergies.
• February 16th through 20th – NO SCHOOL for Winter Recess
• February 23rd – Dentist is coming to visit ECC in our classrooms.
