This Week in Art

PreK ~ the class will be adding wiggly eyes and black spots to their ladybugs.

Kindergarten ~ will be coloring in the final details of their self-portraits.

Gr. 1 ~  the students will be drawing a fun background scene to paint their fireworks on.

Gr. 2 ~ this class will add shades of purple to paint the irises inspired by Monet’s garden in Giverny, France.

Gr. 3 ~ the students will be working on their complementary color name design.

Gr. 4 ~  the Fourth Grade will be using complementary colors to make a Rip and Paste Collage.

Gr. 5 ~ will be designing a Lego character.

Gr. 6 ~ will be using the pointillism technique to paint their fruit.

Gr. 7 ~ this class is working on their “odd architecture” design.

Gr. 8 ~ the class learned about abstract painter and sculptor Frank Stella.  They are creating a protractor design inspired by Stella’s “Protractor Series”

large scale paintings.

Art Elective ~ the amusement parks are looking amazing!  The class partnered up to construct ferris wheels, dunk tanks, roller coaster rides, food stands and all kinds of attractions using assorted assemblage.
