Important Information
Valentine’s Day is being celebrated on Friday, February 13th. It is a dress down day. Everyone should wear red or pink. We will be celebrating with a party in our classroom. If you would like to send in cards for the class/goodie bags, please make sure that there is one for everyone. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
The month of February is Black History Month. This week we will be learning about Billie Holiday, Barack Obama, Harriet Tubman, Malcolm X, and Michael Jordan
All third graders have band practice on Tuesday. Also, all students have a lesson that is schedule on another day during the week. Lastly, some students also have band on Friday. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Stainkamp.
Next week is winter break. I hope everyone enjoys the time off!
Academics
Math: We are continuing to work on addition and subtraction using expanded form and place value. In addtiion to Xtramath and Prodigy, the class has been using Splashlearn.com to review rounding. Our test will be after vacation.
