Eeeek, spiders!  We are learning about another creepy real-life monster this week, the spider.  We will discover more about spiders and their webs as we read stories about these creepy creatures and create art inspired by them.  We will learn about the differences between an arachnid and an insect, about the life cycle of a spider and also to recite the fingerplays, “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” and “The Ten Little Spiders.”  This week, we will also start practicing our scissor skills in class as we cut spider webs and spider cutting strips.

Our core concepts for the week are letter Ee, the shape of an oval, the color black and the number seven.  Our ABCs of Faith are E is for Easter, Earth, and Eternity.  Our song of praise is “He Has Got the Whole World in His Hands.”
