We had such a wonderful first couple of weeks getting to know the children and making new friends.  The children are getting used to our daily routines and nicely following directions.

This past week, we focused on getting to know each other and the classroom rules and daily routines.  The children are all doing very well.

We began teaching the children about our first unit “apples”.  We also learned about the letter “A” and made a really cute “A is for Alligator craft which we have displayed in our hallway.  We also learned all about Johnny Appleseed and even taught the children our “Johnny Appleseed” prayer which they really enjoy singing. We  began making an apple craft for our community wall in the ECC hallway.  The children had fun making their snack mats that they decorated, which is used each day for snack and lunch.  We’ve been very busy 😁

Next week we will continue learning about the letter “A”.   We will learn how to recognize, sound out, and write the letter A.  The children will also be making cute Fall crafts that we will use to decorate our room to make it look beautiful!

IMPORTANT DATES AND REMINDERS:
– September 16th – Back to School Night starting at 7:00 pm in the Chapel.

– October 2nd – ECC field trip to White Post Farms

– October 13th – NO SCHOOL for Columbus Day

– Please remember to send in your child’s folder and empty each day.
