Toddler Class News – Week of March 16th

Hope everyone enjoyed the warm weather last week.  Looks like the cooler temperatures have returned.   We enjoyed some walks in the courtyard last week and had the chance to play with chalk and bubbles too.   Hopefully we will be back out on the playground very soon.

This week we will celebrate St Patrick’s Day and practiced our colors with a few more rainbow activities.  We will also do a mini unit on Teddy Bears.  We will talk about bears hibernating in the winter and then coming back out in the Spring.  We will practice colors, counting and shapes with various activities.  And we will get to bring our own Teddy Bears to visit with our friends at school.

Books we will read:

Hooray for St. Patrick’s Day by Joan Holub

Pete the Cat and the Great Leprechaun Chase by James Dean

Corduroy by Don Freeman

Busy Bear Cubs by John Schindet

Let’s Dress Teddy by Danielle Ms Lean

Bear Wants More by Karma Wilson
