The long Memorial Day weekend is upon us and the summer season is about to unofficially begin.  Summer is all about exploring new places and having fun in the sun with friends and family.  This week, our learning theme is “Going New Places.”  We will explore travel destinations, summer vacations and cultural experiences.  Our sight words for this week will be:  the, go and to.  We will incorporate the sight words into reading passages about “going new places.”  Wednesday, we will celebrate our classroom diversity with Cultural Heritage Day. We can’t wait to explore all the destinations our families came from and enjoy each other’s cuisine.  It should be a amazing experience for all.
