Dear Parents,

We had a great week continuing to learn all about the life cycle of a butterfly. You should see how much our catapillars have grown!  We made cute caterpillar and butterfly crafts to hang in our classroom and decorate the halls.  We can’t wait to see them come out of their Crysallis!

This week we will learn about the letter M for Memorial Day.  The children will learn how to recognize, sound out, and write the letter M.  We will teach the children the importance of Memorial Day and make a craft.

We are so excited about Special Person’s Day and Cultural Day this Wednesday.  We will also start celebrating all our summer birthdays. Please don’t hesitate to Let us know what day you would like to celebrate your child’s birthday. If it’s over the summer and last call for any mystery readers.

IMPORTANT DATES AND REMINDERS:

• May 20th – Special Person’s Day/Cultural Day
• May 21st – NO SCHOOL for Professional Development Day
• May 22nd through 25th – NO SCHOOL for Memorial Day weekend. School resumes on Tuesday, May 26th.
• May 29th – ECC Picnic from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in Trinity playground
• June 10th – ECC3’s End of Year Program from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
