The Pre-K News: Week of March 16th

This week we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day as a class.  We plan to bake Irish soda bread and then enjoy it spreaded with Irish butter at snack time.  Our class leprechaun, Liam, is on the loose and we have heard that he plans to turn our classroom green on St. Patrick’s Day.  We are planning to trap him in a leprechaun trap that we are designing together before he can follow through with his mischievous plans.  We will also learn about how the shamrock is a symbol of the Holy Trinity and read the legend of St. Patrick.  In addition, we will learn about the letter Uu, the number 19 and healthy habits as part of a larger unit on “Our Bodies.”
