5th Grade Spanish: Using interact-a-story 1 in present tense, they will continue to practice reading and speaking using the vocabulary words: hay and 1st/2nd/3rd person of esta, es, va, dice, tener and querer. Will continue our music activity to help with listening in Spanish.
6th Grade Spanish: This week we’ll continue to read and speak using the core vocabulary verbs esta, es, va, dice, quiere and tiene. The grammar focus is on learning to speak using the 1st, 2nd, 3rd person of these verbs. I’ll be introducing the novel, Berto and Sus Buenas Ideas this week.
7th Grade Spanish: There’s a test on Tuesday, January 20th. This week the students will continue to practice reading and creating sentences using the words: esta, es, tengo, tienes, tiene, quiero, quieres, quiere, le dice, va a. They will read the next two chapters in the Spanish novel ‘Seis Meses de Soledad‘.

MIDDLE SCHOOL COMPUTER CLASS
5th Grade – Continue working on step by step tasks in Google Slides to learn how to produce a professional looking presentation. They will learn how to add specific slide types to a presentation and add pictures, transitions, and animations to a presentation.
6th Grade – Food Truck Project: The students will finish working on their food menu for the Food Truck project.
7th Grade – Restaurant Entrepreneur project: Finish Assignment 2 of making a logo for their restaurant using Canvas.
8th Grade – Survey Questionnaire Project: In this session, students create a “School Spirit” survey to familiarize themselves
with Google Forms. They practice designing various question types and setting answer options to control data entry and minimize errors.
