Hello everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the weekend. Please continue to check their green folders for any important information. Check and empty their orange folders each night to see what we are doing in reading. 

Spelling – 3X each is due on Wednesday and our spelling test is on Friday. This weeks words are: pin, win, hit, sit, miss, kiss, nap, can, out, up

Math – We are continuing our first module on addition. It looks like our first math test is going to be next week on September 30th all on addition strategies. Their workbooks will be sent home to review the module. Please bring them back the next day so we can move onto the next module.

ELA – Our first reading test is on Thursday. Our story this week is Go Pip, please make sure you read this every night with the children. This week we are going over short i. We will be learning how to double the final consonant in a one syllable short letter word, for example: miss. This weeks HF words are down, very, out, up.

Writing – This week we will write about one thing Pip did in the story.

Social Studies/ Science – Last week we learned about being a good citizen through a Scholastic. In science we learned about volcanos and created our own in class!

Religion – We got through our first Unit of Genesis and moving onto Exodus.
