Hi everyone! I cannot believe I am saying this but we only have two weeks left. This year went by so fast for me I’m not sure about the rest of you. Please continue to check their green folders for any important information or notices. There is a lot that will be happening in these last two weeks so be sure to stay updated here and on Dojo for any class announcements!
Wednesday 
We have an in school field trip with Kerboom! We did this last year and the kids loved the energy they brought and the dances they learned. Notices have gone out about this. Any questions let me know.
Friday
Friday is field day! Notices will go home for what color your child must wear. It will be either blue or red. Make sure to send in a water bottle because they will definitely need it. I know they are looking forward to playing some games and getting outside! Again, any questions let me know.
Spelling – 3x each or ABC order is due on Wednesday. Our spelling test will be on Friday and it is the last one!! Our spelling words this week are: gnat, gnu, know, knife, write, wrong, cause, dawn, been, their
Math – We will have our module 18 review on Monday and our Module 18 test on Tuesday about time. This will also be our last curriculum math test!! On Wednesday students will take their end of the year math benchmark. This is going to be an assessment of everything we learned this year! We will review in class beforehand as well.
ELA – Our reading test is on Thursday. This is our last Wonders reading test!! Our story this week will be “Rain School”. Our sounds this week will be our ghost letter sounds. /gn/, /wr/, and /kn/. We will review compound words and learn about similies. We will also do a mini review lesson about cause and effect. Our HF words this week are: been, children, month, question, their, year. Our vocabulary words will be difficult – something that is not easy and nobody – no person/ people. Our end of the year reading benchmark will be on Friday. This will go over comprehension, grammar, and phonics concepts that we have learned.
Writing – We will write in our journals about what we are most excited for in summer, if we like the pool or ocean more, and what flavor popsicle is our favorite.
Social Studies – We are still learning about our continents and oceans. Next week we will create our lapbooks!
Religion – We will learn about the stories of “Jesus Washes a Disciples Feet”, “Jesus Before the Council”, and “On the Road to Emmaus”.
