Hello Fabulous Fourth Grade Families!

It is hard to believe that it is June!!  The students earned a PJ movie day on June 2nd. 

This Friday is Field Day, please be on the look out for information about their team. Please ensure that your child applies sunscreen before coming to school, and has a water bottle with them.

Below you will find what we will be doing for each subject this week: 

ELA: This week we will finish reading Holes by Louis Sachar. We will be focusing on character development, and plot. In writing we will continue publishing our fictional/fantasy narratives. Students will be working on publishing their picture book. 

Math: This week we will be learning about time. We will be having a project for module 21, that will be completed in class Thursday and Friday. Students will be applying their knowledge of elapsed time to plan a day at the zoo.  

Religion: In religion we will continue Unit 3: God rises up leaders. 

Social Studies: In social studies we will be learning about Theodore Roosevelt, and his impact on NY and beyond.  

Science: This week we will be continuing to learn about different forms of energy, and how energy is transferred. We will also be reviewing for the science test which will be on June 9th.
