Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed the nice long weekend. Please check their green folders for any important notices or information. Thank you to everyone for coming to our writing celebration! It was amazing seeing the kids read their stories and getting everyone’s support.
Spelling – 3x each or ABC order is due on Friday. Our spelling test is on Friday too. Our spelling words this week are: haul, cause, saw, claw, paw, dawn, moon, soup, love, friend
Math – We will begin module 18, “Telling Time”. This module is 4 lessons so our test will be June 2nd.
ELA – Our reading test is on Friday. Our story this week is “Meet Rosina”. We will learn about the sound /au/ and /aw/. We will also learn about vowel teams and chunking. We have already learned about this but we will learn more that when we are sounding out bigger words we need to make sure our vowel teams stay together. We will learn about antonyms this week too. Our HF words are: brother, father, friend, love, picture. Our vocabulary words are: accept – something you take or agree to and often – something you do a lot.
Writing – We will be writing about our weekend, our favorite flower, and if they like hamburgers or hotdogs more.
Social Studies – We will begin our oceans and continents unit. This week we will start with the continents and oceans and then create a lapbook full of information about them.
Religion – We will be learning about stories “Jesus Shares His Glory” and “Jesus Raises a Widow’s Son”
