Hi everyone! I hope you all enjoyed a nice long weekend. Please continue to check their green folders for any important information or notices. Please encourage reading at home! This can be a book you read with them or they read alone. Make sure to sign their reading log and they can add it to our book shelf. We have three so far and its amazing seeing the kids come in excited to add more!
Spelling – 3x each or ABC order is due on Wednesday. Our spelling test is on Friday. Our new spelling words are: cart, art, arm, harm, barn, yarn, happy, key, four, none.
Math – We are continuing module 12 about adding and subtracting using place value. Our next math test will be March 31st.
ELA – Our reading test is on Thursday. Our new story this week is “A Lost Button”. We will be learned about our first bossy r sound /ar/. We will also be learning/ reviewing dropping the y and adding i. Our HF words this week are: four, large, none, only, put, round. Our vocabulary words are trouble – causing or having problems and whole – completely full/ nothing missing.
Writing – We will be writing in our journals about what we did over the weekend, what are favorite thing about Spring is, and one food we don’t like.
Science – We will finish up our rainbow unit this week. Then, we will move back to social studies and begin our continents and oceans unit.
Religion – We will learn about the story “Jesus Teaches About Prayer”.
