Hi everyone! Welcome back from our first 4 day weekend. We had a great time on our field trip last Friday! I sent pictures on Dojo for you all to see and save. Continue to check their green folders for any important information or notices. This week since we don’t have school on Monday, our reading and spelling test will be on Friday. Please let me know if you have any concerns or questions. 

Spelling – 3x each is due on Thursday this week. Our spelling test is on Friday and our new spelling words are: spill, spin, grab, grass, drop, drip, hop, lot, two, move

Math – We will wrap up Module 2. We will do review on Tuesday and I am going to do the same thing for last module. I will send home a review sheet for homework. This review sheet is exactly what the test format will be. We also practiced these questions in class. Our math test is on Wednesday. On Thursday we will start Module 3, Properties of Operations.

ELA – Our reading test is on Friday this week to ensure we have our full 3 days to go over this weeks content. This weeks story is “Move It”. We will learn about r and p blends in the beginning. We will also learn about possessives (Dan’s). We will review all of our punctuation marks so we use them appropriately. Our HF words are: jump, move, run, two

Writing – This week we are going to write in our journals about our story of the week. Our fun journal entry will be to describe something that you do very well.

Social Studies/ Science – We are going to be talking about Columbus day through a video. For science we will be using one of the pumpkins I got from White Post Farms. We are going to investigate and carve the pumpkin to see what’s inside.

Religion – We are continuing unit 2 and soon will hit unit 3. The students are loving the stories of Moses and what amazing things he did to help serve God’s people.
