Hi everyone! I hope you all had a nice long weekend. This week we will not having a reading or spelling test this week. In first grade they will take Terra Novas. All the grades from 1-8 take these assessments. There is no way to really study for this it is just to see what the children know and what they don’t. We will take the reading part on Thursday and the Math on Friday. Our scholastic book order is due on Thursday as well! Any questions or concerns please let me know on Dojo.
Spelling – Review past spelling patterns and words.
Math – Math review will be on Tuesday and our module 7 test will be on Wednesday. After we will move onto module 8. Module 8 is moving on from word problems to data and graphs! This is a fun module for the kids and I’m sure they’ll enjoy learning about it.
ELA – We will be reviewing past concepts such as contractions, long vowels, and nouns.
Writing – We will practice more with writing sentences that have detail independently.
Science – We will learn about hibernation.
Religion – We will do start unit 5 and learn about the story God Promises a Savior.
