Welcome back, and I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving! Here are the updates for this week.

6th Religion

This week we will wrap up Unit 2. The test will be on Friday, December 5th. There is no memory verse this week.

6th Social Studies

This week the students learn about different religions that originated from India, such as the Vedas, Hinduism, and Buddhism. The test on Topic 4 lessons 1-4 will be on Wednesday, December 10th.

7th Religion

This week in religion we will focus on the life of King David, as well as his son, King Solomon. There is no memory verse this week.

7th Social Studies

The students will present their projects on African Americans of the Revolutionary War era on Wednesday. On Thursday, we will start Topic 4 which will cover the writing of the Constitution, the beliefs that shaped our government, and our rights and responsibilities as U.S. citizens.

8th Religion

Religion this week will focus on the life and character of King David, and the lessons form his life that can apply to our modern lives. There is no memory verse this week.

8th Social Studies

We will wrap up Topic 11 by learning about how American culture was shifting in the early 1900s. Then we will review for the test on Topic 11, which will be on Monday, December 8th.
