Language Arts- This week we will continue Unit 5 of our Wonder’s series. Our essential question is, How do living things change as they grow? We will read, A Grand Ole Tree. We will learn a new sight word – ‘are’ and we will focus on the long and short Uu sounds and word families ex. -it, -in, -id. We will continue to blend sounds and determine the missing sounds in CVC words. In grammar, we will continue to learn about pronouns- he, she, we, I, they and it.

Language Arts Centers- This weeks centers will be sight words and CVC words.

Math- This week we will finish Chapter 8 – Represent Numbers 6 to 10 with Written Numerals and have our test on Friday.

Math Centers- We will practice addition and subtraction problems.

Jesus Time- We will continue to read about Jesus growing up and all the wonderful stories he told and miracles he preformed.

Science: This week we will dive into Mystery Science about hibernation and migration!

Next week 1/26 is Lutheran Schools week and we will celebrate with a Spirit Week! Monday- Pajama Day…..Tuesday- Joyful Vibes (Bright Colors, positive words)…..Wednesday- Dress your best (no jeans!)…..Thursday- Zoom Day….Friday- Past or Future- Dress as Yourself Day
