5th Grade Social Studies – This week we will complete Chapter 5, wrapping up with African Americans during the war and reviewing the final battles. There will be a chapter test on Monday, March 30. A study guide will be provided this Monday.

5th Grade Science – This week we will complete the second part of our Astronomy unit, with a vocabulary quiz on Thursday. The Astronomy unit test will take place the following week (Monday or Tuesday). A study guide for the unit test will be provided on Tuesday of this week.

5th Grade Religion – This week we will focus on Jesus’ baptism and the Twelve Apostles. On Wednesday, we will have our Palm Parade. Grades 3–8 will meet in the chapel at 8:30 AM and participate in a palm procession around the block. Parents are welcome to attend. Please return the permission slip as soon as possible.

6th Grade Math – There will be a Distributing and Combining Like Terms quiz on Tuesday and an Expressions test on Friday. Students will be working on practice exams throughout the week to prepare.

6th Grade Earth Science – There will be a vocabulary quiz on Section 9.2 on Tuesday. This week’s focus will be on the causes of volcanic eruptions. Looking ahead, there will be a vocabulary quiz on Section 9.3 next Monday.
