REVISED AGAIN due to the snow days!

Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed their Winter Break.

5th Grade Social Studies – This week we are beginning Chapter 5: The American Revolution. We will be focusing on colonial taxes and the Boston Tea Party.

5th Grade Science – On Tuesday and Wednesday, students will complete the Astronomy projects we began before the break. All projects are due on Thursday.

5th Grade Religion – We will complete our final Old Testament lesson on Thursday and have the Unit 4 test on Tuesday, March 3rd . A study guide will be provided on Tuesday.

Memory Verse Quiz has been rescheduled for March 6: “But now, O God, strengthen my hands.” — Nehemiah 6:9

6th Grade Math – There will be an Exponent Quiz on Friday, February 27. The rest of the week, we will focus on expressions (a combination of numbers, variables, and operations such as +, −, ×, ÷ that represent a quantity but do not include an equal sign; for example, 3x + 5).

6th Grade Earth Science – There will be a vocabulary quiz on Thursday, February 26 covering Earthquakes Section 8.1. The remainder of the week will focus on measuring earthquakes, including recording ground vibrations (seismograms), understanding magnitude (energy released), and intensity (shaking effects).
